Frequently Asked Questions

For a person who has lost a spouse, the emptiness can be monumental.  WOW provides the support to help widows or widowers to talk with folks that have been there.  WOW also has dining and activity events to help bond with people that have the same interests.  It is a chance to meet new people and start new friendships.

1. The purpose of this Club is:
    
   1. To provide educational and social activities for its members.
       
   2. To work towards the social and cultural enrichment of its members by providing suitable and acceptable ways for widows and widowers to meet.
       
   3. Other purposes that the membership may determine.
       

If you are a widow or widower, you are eligible to join the WOW organization.  By clicking the icon below, you will be directed to the new membership form page.  Simply download the form, fill it out by following the directions, and mailing the form and registration fee to the membership officer..

If you are a WOW member, you are able to receive our news-letter notification via e-mail.  When you subscribe, you will automatically receive notification of events that occur between news-letters, as well as other new options when they are added.  

 You may opt out of notifications that you are not interested in receiving or simply unsubscribe at any time.  If you don't want to receive some e-mails or receive others, send your desires to woweditor@wowsd.fun.

To subscribe for notifications, click on the subscribe icon at the top of the page or anywhere the "Subscribe" icon is located on this page.  When you click on the icon, the message will change indicating that you are subscribing and that you need to confirm your email address.  To confirm your address, yo will receive an e-mail from the wow editor.  Open the e-mail and click on the "Confirm" text.  You will receive a notice that you are subscribed.   The "webPageHelp" document under the "Help" button provides a detailed discussion of the subscription process. 

Assuming you are subscribed to WOW emails, all you have to do is click on the "Blog" icon to display blog messages.  Select one of the messages.  On the right side you should see a window where you can subscribe to blog alert emails.   The "webPageHelp" document under the "Help" button provides a detailed discussion of the subscription process. 

All notifications will be in the form of an-email.  Currently, there are three types.

1.  An alert that a new news-letter is available.

2.  An alert that there is breaking news.

If you are a member of WOW, you are encouraged to become an active member by attending events that you are interested in participating.  For those that are so inclined, you are encouraged to volunteer to help.  WOW is always looking for folks to help make the organization  more successful.  You can choose what you would like to help with.  Several tasks can be performed from your home.  Please contact a board member or send an e-mail to woweditor@wowsd.fun.
